Meet Dr Mandy Pabla
A Thoughtful Approach to Dentistry
Dr Mandy grew up in Toronto, Canada, where she completed a four-year Human Biology degree at the University of Toronto before moving to Australia to study dentistry at the University of Sydney. As a child, she was drawn to order and cleanliness, and visits to her own dentist first sparked her interest in oral health and dentistry.
Over the years, her perspective on dentistry has expanded beyond focusing only on teeth. Dr Mandy sees oral health as an important part of overall wellbeing and enjoys helping patients better understand the connection between oral health and whole-body health.
Helping Patients Feel More Comfortable
One of the things Dr Mandy values most about dentistry is helping patients feel more comfortable during their visits. Many people arrive feeling nervous or unsure, and she takes time to listen carefully, understand each person’s concerns and explain care in a calm, clear and thoughtful way.
Patients often appreciate her gentle, empathetic and methodical approach, as well as the time she spends building a full understanding of their needs and goals.
Dr Mandy has completed Invisalign® training along with orthodontic training through the OrthEd Institute for clear aligner therapy.
In Her Spare Time
Outside the practice, Dr Mandy enjoys hiking, running, reading and travelling, although most of her spare time is spent with her husband and their three children: two sons and a daughter. She has completed a marathon, tackled memorable walks through Tasmania and New Zealand, and enjoys reading daily as a way to unwind.
Originally from Canada, she also loves cheering on both Canadian and Australian teams across sport and the Olympics. At home in Newcastle, her family spends plenty of time on basketball courts around the city supporting their children’s activities.
