Meet Dr Mina Rizk
The Path to Dentistry
Dr Mina believes every patient deserves to feel heard, informed and comfortable when visiting the dentist. Known for his warm and approachable manner, he takes the time to listen carefully, explain options in plain language and tailor care to each person’s goals and comfort level.
Originally from an Egyptian background, Dr Mina speaks English, Arabic and a little French, helping him connect with people from a variety of cultures and communities.
His path into dentistry was shaped by his own experience as an orthodontic patient. After spending 13 years undergoing orthodontic care with three different practitioners, Dr Mina developed a deep appreciation for the planning, patience and problem-solving involved in dentistry. That experience inspired him to pursue a career helping others improve their oral health and confidence.
A Focus on Personalised Dental Care
Dr Mina graduated from Griffith University with First-Class Honours in the Bachelor of Oral Health in Dental Science before completing a Graduate Diploma in Dentistry. He later returned to Griffith to complete a Master of Clinical Implantology, further developing his knowledge and skills in both single and full-arch rehabilitation.
Committed to ongoing professional development, Dr Mina has undertaken additional surgical training in implant dentistry, including pterygoid implant techniques under Dr Pedro Rodriguez in Brazil and further All-on-4® training alongside Dr Larry Benge in Melbourne. He also holds Fellowship and Mastership credentials with the International Congress of Oral Implantologists (ICOI).
One area Dr Mina is especially passionate about is helping anxious patients feel more at ease. He believes dental visits should not be intimidating and takes pride in creating a calm, supportive environment. Through clear communication, personalised care and a range of sedation options, he helps patients feel informed and confident when making decisions about their oral health.
Outside the Practice
When he’s not at the practice, Dr Mina enjoys spending time with his family, playing soccer and swimming with his son. He is also actively involved in his church community and youth service programs.
