All You Need to Know About All-On-4 Implants

older-woman-on-couch-with-family-sq-300When your teeth are beyond repair, it can be discouraging and painful. Many people are too embarrassed to smile when they have missing teeth, and going out in public may be very uncomfortable. Missing teeth may even affect your job.

Fortunately, dental technology has improved dramatically, and our highly skilled Broadmeadow dental team can offer you the next-best thing to your natural teeth: All-On-4 implants.

What Are They?

All-On-4 is a way of replacing the whole arch—all of your top teeth, all of your bottom teeth, or both complete arches. As with a single-tooth implant, a titanium post is placed in the jaw bone to create an artificial tooth “root.” However, instead of a separate root for every tooth, four implants are placed per arch, creating a strong anchor for a full-arch prosthesis (bridge).

How Long Does It Take?

After you’ve consulted with one of our experienced dentists to discuss the scope of your treatment plan, including your goals, we’ll schedule your surgery. This will be done in-house under sedation so that you won’t feel or remember anything. We’ll remove any teeth that need to be extracted, clear out any infection, do any necessary bone grafting and place the implants.

You’ll go home and take it easy for a few days while we have your new teeth made in Bondi at the leading dental laboratory in Australia. When your teeth are ready, we’ll fit them, and you’ll leave our office with your brand-new smile. The whole process usually takes under a week.

How Much Does It Cost?

Our pricing is quite competitive, and we will provide you with a personalised cost estimate prior to beginning your treatment.

How Long Do They Last?

The implants (the titanium rod) can last a lifetime with proper oral care. The bridge (your new teeth) can last a decade, and replacing the bridge does not require another surgery.
