Originally from Los Angeles, Kacie found her home in Newcastle, where she completed her Bachelor of Oral Health Therapy in 2020. Patients often notice her accent first, then her warm, down-to-earth way of explaining things.

Her interest in dentistry began after having root canal therapy herself. What she expected to be a dreadful experience was different from the stories she had heard growing up. That moment helped shape her approach, especially for patients who feel uneasy about dental visits.

A Practical, People-First Approach

Kacie enjoys the variety that comes with oral health therapy. No two appointments are exactly the same. One day may involve gum health education, another may include restoring a tooth, and another may focus on helping a child feel more settled in the chair.

She also values how much dentistry depends on communication. For her, oral health is not just about teeth. It’s about listening, explaining options clearly, and helping patients feel included in decisions about their smile and wellbeing.

Committed to ongoing professional development, Kacie has pursued additional training in orthodontics, paediatric dentistry, and implant maintenance. Her two years working in a periodontist practice also gave her additional exposure to gum health and individualised patient planning. This background gives her a thoughtful, prevention-focused perspective when helping patients of different ages and stages.

Life Outside The Practice

Away from The Smile Factory, Kacie is usually cooking up a feast at home, spending time at the park with her dog, or cheering on her favourite American sports teams. On weekends, you may also find her at a concert or music festival.
